Student Life

Since Algeria’s independence, the national policy towards education has required that all studies will be free of charge even at the university level. In fact, even the foreign students pursuing their studies in Algeria receive a scholarship to cover their basic needs. All the university students in Algeria have free tuition, free housing, free transportation and each one receives a scholarship either as an undergraduate student or as a graduate student. The total number of recipients is divided as:

-7174 Female students.

-4831 Male students.

Housing accommodations

There are 8 housing facilities (6 in Batna2 and 2 in Barika) with a capacity of 14000 beds which is the equivalent of 7000 rooms.

Transport

The main Services Directorate provides 29 buses connecting the Fesdis University Campus to Abrouk Madani University Center, 33 buses for the route connecting the Fesdis University Campus to the University of Batna 1, and 12 buses linking the Si El Houas University Campus in Barika to the city center. In total, there are 74 buses.

It is worth mentioning that a train station deserves the university campus and it provides a means of transportation for students living at home.

Financial benefits

The university grants 12005 scholarships distributed as follows:

  • 7174 for female students.
  • 4831 for male students.

These scholarships are granted to all various academic levels including Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees.

University of Batna2 and its residence halls encompass several sports structures.
