National Forum on Algerian Forests under the theme: “The Algerian Forest: Challenges and Conservation of the Cedar Forest in the Aurès

As part of the valorization of national natural resources, a national forum on Algerian forests was organized on January 15, 2025, at the Digital Complex of Batna 2 University, Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, under the theme: “The Algerian Forest: Challenges and Conservation of the Cedar Forest in the Aurès”.

The Vice-Director for External Relations of the University, representing the University Director, delivered a welcoming speech and thanked all the guests who came from various regions of the country, and officially announced the start of the forum’s proceedings.

The university hosted, as part of this event, several organizations involved in this field, such as the Belzma National Park in Batna, the Forest Directorate of Batna Province, the National Federation of Hunters, as well as many professors and students from different universities across the country, who participated through four main themes, with both in-person and remote interventions.

The number of participants across the different themes of the day reached nearly 180, enriching the discussions with research and updates on the valorization and protection of the national forest wealth.
