During the Algerian Universities’ National Symposium on October 12, 2023, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Beddari, awarded the Ministry’s Merit Medal to the rectors of the top 23 universities and higher education institutions. This recognition was given in acknowledgment of their inclusion in the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE) World Rankings. The University of Batna 2 secured a place in this global ranking, making Algeria the top-ranked Arab country and the second-ranked African country. The Minister of Higher Education presented the award to Professor Hacene Semadi, the Rector of the University of Batna 2.
