PROBLEMATICOFTHESEMINAR
Around the world to day,we are witnessing crises that arise between territories, citizens, and institutions. Multidimensional development, diversity of localactors, and the growing desire of citizens to engage and participate in local decision-making processes are all factors that fundamentally alter the equation of governance and its conceptual scope. Local development is the process by which the economic and social activities of a territory diversify and enrich themselves by mobilizing and coordinating their resources and energies.
The purpose of this seminar is to take a look at governance and local development in Algeria, considering the experiences lived on the national territory and their local specificities, and to question the impact and role of actors in territorial development (businesses, associational movements, local administration, etc.).The new vision for local development must be translated into a “multidimensional, coherent, and transparent” approach integrating economic, social, and environmental dimension.
